Congratulations to Capita’s Darlington team
An event was held at the Darlington Hippodrome Theatre this week to celebrate the local businesses who have participated in the adoption of parks within Darlington, under the Darlington Cares scheme.
In recognition of their hard work in the Darlington community, our colleagues at Capita Intelligent Communications have been awarded with a some what novel award – an engraved trowell. However, it may be novel but it is relevant, as our team have been working on a renovation project for their “adopted” Green Park.
To date the Capita Teams have tidied up the footpaths, cut down over hanging branches, established a flower bed and cleared ground space. They have also painted the children’s play area and the park railings.
Anthony Lamb, Operations Director had this to say “Thank you to Darlington Cares for recognising the contribution of the Capita Intelligent Communications team. Everybody has enjoyed and really benefited from the experience. There is still much to do and we look forward to carrying out more work at Green Park in the future.”
Darlington Cares was established in October 2012 and offers a coordinated approach to corporate social responsibility by utilising the skills, expertise, knowledge and volunteering resources of local businesses and their employees. These are matched to bespoke volunteering projects or existing community groups and charities, where they can have the most impact.
